The minerals usually cause chemical reactions in the stomach and these reactions may be beneficial or harmful to a person of IBS. Here are some common effects of minerals for the irritable bowel syndrome:
1) Calcium – IBS for this mineral can have a laxative or constipating effect on a person, depending on the type. People suffering from IBS should try to discover what kind of calcium is right for him:
a) Calcium carbonate – This mineral does not contain magnesium ninguĂ n and can relieve symptoms of diarrhea. For these reasons, it would be a good cure for IBS, which is prone diarrhea (IBS-D).
b) calcium citrate – such mineral containing magnesium and so, can trigger symptoms of diarrhea. Therefore, patients suffering from IBS and constipation-prone (IBS-C) would benefit from this mineral.
A good tip to follow when taking calcium for IBS is to keep the maximum amount of magnesium 500. This is to prevent the actions of symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. It is also a good idea to take the ore to IBS with vitamin D since it helps in the absorption of these foods. Another even better way is to take your calcium include calcium-rich foods to your diet. Here is a list of few of them: yogurt and low-fat cheese, spinach, okra, salmon, and tofu.
2) Iron – ore can absolutely constipating. People taking this mineral for IBS stomach disorders is also likely. It is also a known fact that iron interferes with calcium absorption. Once again the iron-rich food is a better option. They are: spinach, meat and fish, asparagus, peppers, whole bran cereal, pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
