Herbalife Business Review – Scam Or Legit?
I’ve been in the online marketing industry for years. I am frequently asked what my opinion is about (online) 
companies and if it is a good idea to join with them. A friend of mine asked me the other day what my thoughts are on Herbalife, are they a scam or legit? I will outline my answer in this brief, unbiased review. So here goes…
About the Company:-Mark Hughes is the founder of Herbalife and was established in 1980. Mark actually started the business by selling the products from the trunk of his car, out on the streets. It wasn’t until two years later, that his company became a multi-national business, with annual sales reaching a whopping $1 billion! It is believed that they now employ nearly 4000 people, with more than 240.000 distributors worldwide. Still today, the company is making huge profits.
The Products:-The product line consists of a range of nutritional as well as weight loss products. I won’t go into detail about all the products in this article, because that would make this review too long. Check on the internet for a more in depth information.
The Opportunity:-Herbalife is a normal Network Marketing company. As you become a distributor you sell their products, recruit other people to join your team and build a business. Because most of their members try to recruit new members first, instead of selling the products, one is lead to believe it is a scam. However, it is not. They do have a solid, legitimate product line. It is true though, that in order to make decent income, the recruitment of new members, to build a profitable downline, is a must.
My Conclusion:-Herbalife is not a scam. It is my personal opinion however that, by selling the actual product, you won’t be making huge amounts of dollars. The recruitment of new people is much more profitable. If you are looking for a home based business opportunity that does not rely on the sole recruitment of new people, I suggest you start looking for a company that offers you a solid, up-to-date mentoring and marketing package.
