My father is a mortgage broker and has been finding times difficult lately. He is hoping to retire soon but has not built up enough of a nest egg to satisfy himself that he will be well enough off in the years to come. He got used to a high standard of living when the property market was doing well but now needs to word a lot harder to get half the commission he was back then. However, he has not been very good at spending less money in order to allow for that change in income and has therefore not got much in the way of savings and his pension will not be adequate enough to pay his bills. He has been working extra hours and weekends to try to work out what to do. He is looking in to mortgage broker marketing and is trying harder to find new ways of finding customers as in the past he found it very easy and did not really need any skills to seek them. He has been thinking of doing a course or even employing someone to help with mortgage marketing services but is not sure whether it will be worth it when he is so close to retiring anyway as he may not make enough use of it to make it worth the investment.
